It's Sunday, there's no AI news worth your time today — so let's use the quiet to do the one thing most small businesses never get round to.

What's your ten-minute AI homework?

Grab a piece of paper and write down three tasks you or your staff do every single week that feel like copying, chasing, or reformatting. The classics: chasing late invoices, answering the same five customer questions by email, moving data from one spreadsheet to another, writing the same type of social media post.

Now open whichever AI tool you already have — ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, doesn't matter — and test one of those tasks. Paste in a real example. See what comes back.

This matters most for accountants drowning in client-chasing emails, salon owners replying to the same booking questions, and trades businesses reformatting quotes into invoices by hand. But every business has at least three of these time-sinks hiding in plain sight.

You won't automate anything in ten minutes. But you'll learn which of your repetitive jobs the AI handles well and which it botches — and that's the difference between businesses that adopt AI usefully and businesses that try it once and give up.

What to do right now: Open your phone's notes app, write down your three most repetitive weekly tasks, and test one before lunch. That's it.

Why nothing else today?

Sundays are dead air for AI product launches — the companies save their announcements for midweek when the press is paying attention. Today's news was all general economics (orange juice prices, oil markets, Ireland's energy crisis) and routine government paperwork updates. None of it changes what you do tomorrow morning. We'd rather tell you that honestly than stretch a non-story to fill space.

The bottom line: No new tools launched this weekend, so use the gap — ten minutes identifying your most repetitive tasks is worth more than any headline.
