Quiet satisfying Tuesday — no AI tools launched today that are worth your attention. So let's use the five minutes you'd normally spend reading this on something better.

What's the one task you'd love to never do again?

Today's news was oil prices, orange juice supply chains, and customs paperwork updates. Nothing that changes what you do this week. That means today is the right day to do the 10-minute exercise most small businesses never get around to.

Here's what to do right now. Open your notes app and write down the three tasks you or your team repeat every single week. Chasing late invoices. Answering the same five customer questions. Copying numbers from one spreadsheet to another. Reformatting quotes into emails.

Now pick one. Open ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot — whichever you already have — and paste in a real example. Ask it to do the task. See what comes back.

If you run a salon, count last week's booking enquiries that asked the same question. More than ten? That's your signal to set up an auto-reply in WhatsApp Business or your booking system.

If you run an accountancy, paste in a client email you've answered fifty times — VAT deadlines, dividend timing — and ask ChatGPT to draft the reply in your tone. If it needs less than two minutes of editing, you just found your template machine.

If you run an agency, find your last proposal and ask Gemini to rewrite the executive summary for a different industry. If it's 70% there, you've just cut your new-sector proposal time in half.

Most business owners who eventually save real hours with AI started exactly this way: on a quiet day, with no pressure, testing one boring task.

The bottom line: No new tools today — but the 10 minutes you spend identifying your most repetitive task is the thing that makes every future AI story in this newsletter actually useful to you.
