Quiet satisfying Monday — nothing new launched worth paying for, which makes this the perfect week to get more out of the AI tools you're already paying for.

Are you actually using the AI subscription you signed up for?

Most business owners signed up for ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Google Gemini sometime in the last year. Most use it to rewrite the odd email and nothing else. That's like hiring a part-time admin and only asking them to make tea.

This week, block out 30 minutes and try one thing you haven't done before. Here are three, depending on what you run:

If you deal with customers directly — paste your last ten Google or TripAdvisor reviews into ChatGPT and ask: "What's the one complaint that keeps coming up?" You'll spot a pattern in seconds that would take an hour to find by reading them yourself.

If you send quotes or invoices — paste in a recent supplier quote and ask: "Is there anything here I might be overpaying for compared to typical market rates?" It won't always be right, but it'll give you questions to ask your supplier that you wouldn't have thought of.

If you're hiring — paste your last job ad and ask: "What in this ad might put good candidates off applying?" The answer is often brutally useful.

None of this needs a new subscription. It needs the login you already have and half an hour you'd otherwise spend scrolling.

What to do now: Open whichever AI tool you already pay for, pick one of those three tasks, and try it before Friday. If you don't pay for any of them, the free version of ChatGPT at chatgpt.com handles all three.

The bottom line

Nothing new shipped this week worth your money — but most business owners are sitting on a tool they already pay for and barely use. Thirty minutes this week could change that.
